The London Fashion Week Model Zone sponsored by Weleda is now in its 7th year. Originally the brainchild of British supermodel Erin O’Connor and now run by the British Fashion Council, the Model Zone is designed to be a sanctuary where models can relax and unwind between shows. This is an amazing initiative and one I’m particularly passionate about, having experienced the pressures of fashion week first hand in my early modelling days. The month-long run of fashion weeks that include New York, London, Paris and Milan is the busiest time of year for models who participate and often means being away from home for long periods of time. Some of the girls are quite young and speak very little English and so this can be a very daunting time for them. Schedules can be hectic with some models being booked for several consecutive shows on one day with taxi motorbikes often being the only way to get a girl from one show to the next on time during fashion week traffic. Often if a girl is just in town for a day she won’t have a hotel room nearby or even at all and this is where the model zone really comes into its own. It provides them with a nurturing oasis where they can rest, shower, change, eat healthily, drink plenty of fluids, take off their make-up and unwind with their peers. The location is kept secret to allow them to do all this whilst being protected from the media glare.
Once inside, the girls can benefit from the expertise of Weleda’s experienced team of beauty therapists. Amanda Bucher, Dija Ayodele and Natalie Lewis offer revitalising treatments and massages with a choice of fragrant body oils, soothing mini facials and holistic skincare advice. Homeopath Wendy Rushin and homeopathic pharmacist Evelyn Liddell will be on hand for wellbeing advice and holistic health consultations.
As if all this wonderful pampering and a safe, comfy space weren’t enough, models also receive a ‘Fashion Week survival collection’ containing an assortment of Weleda goodies. This includes, amongst other lovely potions, Weleda’s famous “Skin Food” cream which I have mentioned previously on the blog and which is a firm favourite among celebrities such as Victoria Beckham and Alexa Chung and models Suki Waterhouse and Behati Prinsloo.
And now for the exciting part! You too can experience a touch of supermodel pampering. Thanks to Weleda I have an exclusive London Fashion Week Model Zone, Weleda goody bag to give away to one lucky follower! Your goody bag will contain:

What does Natural Beauty mean to me? To me a natural beauty is a person who, not only has a pretty face, but someone who has a beautiful soul. Someone who can make the best out of any situation and still keep a smile on their face and help others smile too. With this, their beauty on the outside is intensified and I think that if you’re happy and take care of yourself from the inside first, the outside will follow. Natural beauty is something we all have in our own ways, we just have to learn to love ourselves and accept other people’s natural beauty by not focusing on the outside alone. 😀
Enjoy LFW Zoe x

Natural beauty to me is making the most of what God gave you. Not changing yourself to make others happy or to conform to what society dictates is beautiful. Looking after your body inside and out. Enhancing your natural beauty rather than disguising it under layers of make up. Being happy in your own skin. Smile…..everyone has a beautiful smile!

Beautiful people don’t just happen. Natural beauty to me means someone who doesn’t realise how lovely they are inside and out, they take care of themselves, their health, their diet, their skincare, they believe in themselves and have a beautiful mind, someone who has known loss or suffering and in their hearts have an understanding and compassion for others, that to me is truly beautiful.

Natural Beauty is the product of all that is put in. It is exuded out of a person who not only eats the right things and puts the right things into their body, but also surrounds themselves with positivity, happiness and hope. When we engage with positive people, this soaks into our minds and releases positivity within us which then exudes through natural beauty. Natural beauty is both internal and external and can be achieved by all and has always exisited. Putting good, naturally occurring things, thoughts, feelings and products into our bodies then radiates good, natural beauty like a beautiful glow that keeps getting brighter
