Green Christmas gift guide

With just over four weeks to go until the big day, Christmas gift buying is at the very top of my to-do list. I wanted to share with you, my top pick of green beauty products that will make for fantastic Christmas gifts for the entire family and friends too! Loads of my favourite green beauty brands have combined some of their best products into beautifully festive packaging that will look wonderful underneath any Christmas tree and after all, who doesn’t enjoy a bit of pampering at Christmas!

Top of my shopping list this year is Green People‘s limited edition Woodland Trust collection. The packaging for this organic skincare collection is absolutely beautiful with images of woodland animals on the bottles, all packaged up in a beautiful pastel carry case. You can choose between a hand, face, body or men’s collection and all products are organic and free from nasty chemicals. I love Green People as their ingredients are top-notch and are scientific as well as being natural and ethically sound. The HUGE added bonus to this beautiful collection is that a donation of either 50p or 30p (depending on product) from each gift sold, is made to the Woodland trust so you will be helping to support our wildlife and environment! How ethical can you get!!

Another brand I’m always harping on about is Weleda and they don’t disappoint with their selection of Christmas gifts this year! I’ve selected three of my faves for you. The first range I’ve selected is a must for me at this time of year. Their Pomegranate medium gift box is priced at £29.95 and contains hand cream, body wash and body lotion. The Pomegranate range smells so wonderfully festive, It’s almost good enough to eat and the body wash is wonderfully creamy making your shower or bath a fantastically indulgent experience!

The other two Weleda products I have picked will double up as cute little Christmas decorations! The Wild Rose Christmas tree lantern is a super cute little box filled with miniatures which you can either hang  on your tree or pop into a Christmas stocking. I love the Wild Rose range and at just £5 for a mini body wash and body oil this makes for the perfect stocking filler or Secret Santa gift! Next up is this bright and snazzy Christmas stocking packed with some of Weleda’s best bath and body products including Rose soap, Citrus hand and nail cream, Pomegranate body wash and Sea Buckthorn body oil. Yummy. Stocking is £35 at

One “green” gift I will lusting after myself this Christmas is this Pure Essence Eau de parfum in No2 Rose from Neal’s Yard remedies. I very rarely wear scent these days as I find most commercial perfumes to be a bit sickly and synthetic however I would be really interested to try this as rose is one of my favourite scents and this promises to be natural and subtle. £39 for 50ml at Neal’s yard have a lot of great beauty boxes this Christmas and one of my favourites has to be this Beauty sleep organic collection £40. The products in this box are designed to work while you sleep to leave skin silky-smooth by morning. The Beauty Sleep Concentrate, enriched with narcissus extract supports skin’s natural night-time regeneration, replenishing and recharging as you sleep. The box also contains body butter and bath milk enriched with organic ylang ylang, patchouli and cypress essential oils. Everything needed to set you up for a restful night’s beauty sleep. £40 at nealsyardremedies.com8498_Christmas_Gift_Beauty_Sleep_set_Hi-Res_Medium_1

One for the boys! Ok so this one isn’t specifically a Christmas gift or even packaged as a gift at all but lets face it, most men really aren’t bothered about pretty packaging anyway and Green People do REALLY good men’s products. Hubby has Organic Homme 2 Shave Now Wash And Shave and Homme 1 Scrub It Exfoliator and rates both highly. The packaging is sleek and masculine. Both products are £12.95 for 125ml.

One for mum. Or in fact anyone over the age of 30! This is also a Green People product and again not specifically a Christmas gift but does come packaged as a collection in smart packaging. This one comes from Green People’s Age Renew Plus range which I love. The renew and radiate gift pack contains my all time favourite exfoliator! With fine particles that aren’t too harsh on sensitive skin and some wonderful essential oils, this product speeds up cell renewal and leaves skin feeling fresh and clear. The pack also contains Hydrate And Renew serum and Cell Enrich facial oil. All work together to promote younger looking and softer skin. The box is currently priced at £45. A real bargain when you consider that to buy these products separately would cost £65.89!

Last but not least on my Christmas shopping list is from my favourite green nail varnish brand Soigné. Soigné polishes are free from harmful chemicals contained in most mainstream brands including Formaldehyde. The polishes are rich, thick and glide on beautifully and Soigné regularly release new shades in order to stay on-trend. They have put together several chic gift boxes each containing three different shades. My fave is the poignantly named “Paris” box which consists of Figue, a deep grey with a hint of purple, Truffe, a chic gun-metal grey and Taro, a beautiful khaki brown shade. This fab gift box will see any fashionista through to Spring with the most glamorous talons! £26

Well that’s it! There are so many great “green” beauty brands out there nowadays that we really are spoilt for choice but I hope I’ve helped you narrow it down and even inspired you to try some new brands or products. It’s all too easy to be wasteful at Christmas time and go a bit crazy with last-minute panic buying. Just remember this is not good for either your wallet or the planet! Fewer, good quality gifts are always the way to go and you can rest assured that all the above mentioned gifts are produced ethically and without harm to either person or planet.

Happy shopping!

  1. I love all of these things! Luckily my birthday isn’t too long after Christmas either so I will definitely get myself some of these products! I absolutely love the nail polish box – that is first on my list 😉.
Thanks as always for your recommendations and tips,

    Georgia x
